Girl charged following alleged home invasion in Truganina

Police have charged a teenager following an alleged aggravated home invasion in Truganina early this morning, during which a man was allegedly assaulted.

Investigators have been told three people allegedly entered a Troitta Way home about 1.20am, via a window, while a family of five were asleep inside.

Once inside the premises, the three allegedly stole the victim’s car keys before they were disturbed by the victim.

The trio fled the scene, with a resident giving chase and catching one of the girls.

The two other offenders allegedly assaulted the victim in an attempt to free the girl, but failed.

The 33-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries.

A 17-year-old Werribee girl has been charged with aggravated home invasion.

She has been remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date.

Police are still looking for the two other girls.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
