People of all ages are being invited to participate in the Wyndham Summer of Tennis community sessions.

Wyndham council has partnered with the dnta tennis academy, Origin Tennis and Smash Tennis to offer the program, which includes free tennis sessions for children and adults.

The sessions will cater to players for all abilities, including those who have never picked up a tennis racquet before.

Tennis lessons are being held at the Saltwater Reserve Tennis Centre in Point Cook until Friday, January 28.

The sessions, for children aged between five and 16 years old, will run daily between 9am and noon.

Dane Nebel from dnta said the school holiday program has been incredibly popular.

“It’s been overwhelming with the response and to see the number of people enrolling,” Mr Nebel said.

Kids’ tennis sessions will also be held at the Galvin Park Tennis Courts, 95 Shaws Road, Werribee on Friday, January 21 from 9-10.15am (ages four to 10 years old) and 10.15-11.45am (ages 11 to 17 years old).

Participants are advised to bring a water bottle and to wear hats, sunscreen and appropriate clothing to prevent sunburn.

Attendees will be asked to check in with a staff member on arrival for contact tracing purposes, scan a QR code and show evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status (depending on their age).

Attendees must also comply with all state government COVID-19 restrictions.

To book in for the school holiday program, email Mr Nebel at dnta@live.com.au or call 0416 180 989.
