A 19-year-old Rockbank man was charged with attempted murder and aggravated home invasion, on Friday.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on February 25, 2022.

The charges follow an incident at a Ribblesdale Avenue property, which occurred about 2.20am on Sunday, August 8.

A number of men allegedly forced their way into a home before a confrontation occurred with one of the residents.

A 46-year-old Wyndham Vale man was shot in the upper body.
