Applications for the Wyndham council 2022 Small Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fund are now open.
The fund aims to support local businesses develop innovative strategies, encourage business collaboration and build capacity for entrepreneurship.
Wyndham’s future focused economy portfolio holder, Cr Mia Shaw, said: “As businesses bounce back from the pandemic, this fund will allow local businesses to form a strategy that will support growth and sustainability.”
The fund has two streams to support businesses in all phases.
Stream one is open for businesses that have been trading for less than 24 months and stream two is open for businesses who have been open for more than 24 months.
“The broad funding streams will capture businesses of all kinds in Wyndham, whether it be those in the start-up phase or those in a mature, growth phase,” Cr Shaw said.
“The majority of Wyndham’s local businesses employ less than five people, meaning small business in Wyndham really is big business.
“This fund will support the local industry journey out of one of the toughest periods businesses have ever—and hopefully will ever face.”
Successful recipients of the Small Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation will be non-employing businesses such as sole proprietors and partnerships without employees or micro businesses that employ less than five people.
