Police have charged three teenagers after an alleged double-stabbing in Tarneit last week, which led to two men being hospitalised and an officer getting assaulted.

Detectives from the Wayward Taskforce have appealed for witnesses to come forward as they continue to investigate the events that unfolded at a property on Tatra Street around 4.30am on Sunday, October 24.

Police and emergency services responded to reports two people had been stabbed following an altercation among a group of people at the property.

One of the victims, a 21-year-old Tarneit man, presented at a nearby hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.

The second victim, also a 21-year-old Tarneit man, was treated at the scene before being flown to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers deployed capsicum spray and one officer was assaulted by an unknown female.

Three men who attempted to run from the scene were arrested.

An 18-year-old Cobblebank man has since been charged with affray, violent disorder, possess cannabis, possess controlled weapon, deal with proceeds of crime, contravene bail condition, commit indictable offence on bail and breaching Chief Health Officer directions.

He has been remanded to face Werribee Magistrates’ Court on November 1.

An 18-year-old Manor Lakes man has been charged with affray, violent disorder, possess cannabis, and breaching Chief Health Officer directions.

He has been remanded to face Werribee Magistrates’ Court on November 4.

A 19-year-old Derrimut man has been charged with affray, violent disorder, possess cannabis, contravene bail condition, commit indictable offence on bail and breaching Chief Health Officer directions.

He has been also been remanded to face Werribee Magistrates’ Court on November. 4

The investigation into the alleged stabbings and the assault upon the police officer remains ongoing.
