IPC Health will receive $784,500 in state government funding to deliver security system upgrades across their six sites, including in Hoppers Crossing and Wyndham Vale.
The funding has been awarded under the first round of the $200 million Metropolitan Health Infrastructure Fund (MHIF).
Werribee MP Tim Pallas said IPC funding would also help to pay for personal duress devices for staff to use during remote visits to patients.
Established as part of the 2020-21 state budget, the MHIF provides funding for construction, remodelling and refurbishment projects, equipment, information and communication technology and other upgrade works at health service providers.
“Everyone deserves access to quality health care facilities and services – we’re ensuing the Werribee community has exactly that close to home,” Mr Pallas said.
“We’re delivering better health outcomes for the Werribee community with modern services and facilities while creating local jobs.”
