Police are investigating a fire at an abandoned house in Werribee South yesterday evening.
The CFA responded to reports of a house fire on O’Connors at around 6.25pm.
Seven CFA units from Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Point Cook attended the scene with support from Fire Rescue Victoria crews.
Firefighters arrived to find the structure “fully involved”.
The scene was deemed under control at around 6.48pm and the incident was declared safe at 8.20pm.
An advice message was issued for smoke in the area.
Crews remained on the scene to completely extinguish the fire and ensure there were no further hot spots.
The scene was handed over to Victoria Police to investigate.
