Just under half of Wyndham’s residents have received their first COVID-19 vaccination dose.
Federal government data, released at the weekend, shows that 49.7 per cent of the municipality’s population aged 15 years and above have received one coronavirus vaccination.
Meanwhile, 26.7 per cent of Wyndham’s 201,181 residents aged 15 and over have received their second dose.
The Victorian municipality with the lowest percentage of its population to have received two vaccination doses is Hume, where 22.4 per cent of residents have had their second dose administered.
The Queenscliffe region on the Bellarine Peninsula has recorded the highest number of twice-vaccinated residents, with 64 per cent of people living in the area double-dosed.
Victorian Department of Health data reveals that as of Monday, 111 people living in the 3029 postcode have been diagnosed with COVID-19, while 17 people in postcode 3030 and 13 residents of 3027 also have the virus.
On Monday, chief health officer Brett Sutton said Victoria’s Delta outbreak mostly under control but that there were still some mystery cases.
“Most of the outbreak is under control, but for those areas that are seeing the mystery cases in particular, Hobsons Bay, Wyndham, and Hume local government areas, we do see continued mystery cases amongst those other linked cases,” Mr Sutton said.
COVID-19 symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath and loss or change in sense of smell or taste.
