Theatre calendar packed

Comedy, circus and musical compositions will feature in upcoming shows at the Wyndham Cultural Centre.

As part of the Werribee theatre’s 2021 program, stand-up comic Ross Noble will perform his Comeback Special at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 1.

Other future concerts scheduled for the cultural centre are tribute shows to famous acts including Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, the Travelling Wilbury’s and Mental as Anything.

Tusk – A Storybook Tribute to Fleetwood Mac will take to the stage at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 11.

The performance will give the audience a peek into what makes Fleetwood Mac one of the greatest bands of all time, from the beginnings of the group to Stevie Nicks’ solo journey, featuring music from the album Rumours through to Tango In The Night.

On Wednesday, September 15 at 7.30pm, Rebel by Highwire Entertainment will put on a live circus rock tribute to David Bowie with live music, glittering glam rock, acrobatics and aerials.

Wyndham’s creative city portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud, said it was “wonderful that the Wyndham Cultural Centre is open again”.

“We are excited to have such a wide range of performances and events scheduled for the remainder of this year, highlighting our commitment to arts and culture here in Wyndham,” he said.

The shows will be held according to CovidSafe guidelines and may be subject to change due to the pandemic.

Tickets to Ross Noble: $54.90, tickets to Tusk: full $30, concession $25 and tickets to Rebel: full $40, concession $35. Bookings: www.wyncc.com.au
