Road reopens, trains resume

Train services are resuming on the Werribee rail line between Laverton and Werribee stations, following an equipment fault at the crossing on Old Geelong Road in Hoppers Crossing.

Passengers should allow up to 10 minutes extra for their journey, as trains get back to its for the normal timetable.

Old Geelong Road has been re-opened to traffic in both directions.

The Department of Transport has thanked passengers and motorists for their patience as crews worked to resolve the issue and restore normal service.

Real-time traffic conditions are available at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au or via the VicTraffic mobile app. The latest public transport information and network status is available at ptv.vic.gov.au or in the PTV mobile app.
