Get ready for an electric day

Iconic Australian singer Jimmy Barnes is the headline act for this year’s One Electric Day music festival, which will be held at Werribee Park.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of last year’s festival, but the event will return on November 21 with acts including The Living End, Jon Stevens, The Black Sorrows, Killing Heidi and Chocolate Starfish on the bill.

Barnes – aka Barnsey – performed at the first-ever One Electric Day back in 2013.

Barnes, a legend of the Australian music scene, has 17 number one albums under his belt.

One Electric Day organiser Duane McDonald said the return of the festival was an “exciting prospect”.

“Audiences have always been so supportive of One Electric Day,” he said.

“It has become a really special event where we see many fans return year after year, it is like catching up with friends and family.

“After the curveball that COVID-19 threw at us, we are looking forward to catching up with those friends and family this year for a very overdue celebration of great Australian music.

“One Electric Day 2021 will create some great memories for us all.”

One Electric Day, an all-ages event, will be held at Werribee Park from 11am on November 21.

Tickets: Ticketmaster.com.au or 136 100, General admission ticket: $119.90 (additional transaction fees and credit/debit card processing fees may apply). Details: https://www.frontiertouring.com/oneelectricday
