The Werribee District 4WD Club will think pink for a weekend fundraising event.
The group, which is affiliated with Four Wheel Drive Victoria, will host a Ladies Day Drive Fundraiser on Saturday.
The day – which is themed pink -– will raise money for the McGrath Foundation, a national breast cancer support and education charity.
Participants are being encouraged to drive 4WD vehicles on the day, which will also include a silent auction, raffle, barbecue lunch and games.
Joe Grosz, the club’s Four Wheel Drive Victoria spokesperson, said the fundraising event also aimed to bolster the confidence of women, who sometimes only get involved as vehicle passengers.
“This time they (women) are the driving force and gents are the passengers supporting them in every way possible,” Mr Grosz said.
Tracey Rose, a club member who is organising the Ladies Day Drive, said event was close to her heart as many of her many close friends have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
club member Alysha Byers said: “My family has a history of cancer and specifically my aunt had breast cancer and lost her battle to cancer.
“It is in my aunt’s memory that I support and actively assist in philanthropy for breast cancer.”
Another member, Nicole Goulemas, said the 4wd club has previously supported bushfire-affected communities.
“It’s a nice feeling to be a part of that and the kids love it too,” she said.
The Ladies Day Drive Fundraiser will begin 7.30am at McDonalds in Manor Lakes and depart 8am for Greendale and the Wombat State Forest.
