A free family-friendly event featuring film, music and food will be held at Werribee Racecourse this week.
The Summer Celebration will run from Friday to Sunday, and will include children’s activities.
Wyndham mayor Adele Hegedich said it was important families have some fun after experiencing lockdown for most of the past year.
“From watching movies like Ride Like A Girl, Doolittle to Mary Poppins Returns, face-painting, sports activities and games – the kids will have the best time,” she said.
Wyndham’s creative city portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud, said there would be plenty of fun for adults too, with music and dancing.
“The event will also comply with COVID-Safe plans and each session will be capped at 500 people, so make sure you book to avoid disappointment,” Cr Mahfoud said.
The first Summer Celebration session will be held on Friday from 4pm-9pm, with Aaron Schembri & Rosie Conforto Duo performing from 5-7pm. The movie Doolittle will begin at 7pm. Food trucks and Glitterbugs Face Painting will also be on-site.
On Saturday, the Soul Obsession Duo will perform from 12-3.30pm, with food trucks and face-painting.
Saturday’s 5pm session will feature the Look Sharp Duo, and a screening of Ride Like a Girl at 7pm, food trucks and Kelly Sport’s activities and games.
On Sunday, Sonica Duo will perform from 12-3.30pm, with food trucks and face-painting.
Un-Limited Duo will take to the stage from 5-7pm Sunday, with a showing of Mary Poppins Returns at 7pm, food trucks and face-painting.
