Point Cook mail theft

Police have released images of a man following the theft of mail from a Point Cook residence last month.

Investigators have been told the unknown man drove to the Beatrix Street home in a red Holden Commodore utility about 11.30am on Friday, June 26.

The man parked in the driveway before getting out and taking a parcel from the front of the home.

He then left in the car, which was displaying false registration plates, reading UCE 206.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with short brown hair and wearing a black jacket, black tracksuit pants and white sneakers.

Anyone who recognises the man or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at crimestoppervic.com.au.
