Wyndham residents have – once again – been diagnosed with second-highest number of active COVID-19 cases in the state.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), 105 Wyndham residents have tested positive for the virus today (compared to 86 residents yesterday).
The municipality of Hume, which includes Broadmeadows, is the only municipality in Victoria with more cases among residents, than Wyndham has.
In Hume, 145 residents have tested positive for the virus since yesterday.
Since the weekend, Wyndham residents have daily recorded the second-highest number of coronavirus cases in the state.
According to the DHHS, Victoria has recorded 191 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday, with the total number of cases now at 2824.
Within Victoria, 37 new cases have been linked to known outbreaks and 154 are under investigation.
Of the new cases which have already been linked to known outbreaks, 12 additional cases have been linked to Al-Taqwa College in Truganina.
The total number of cases connected to the college outbreak has reached 90.
Other new cases in the state have been linked to existing family clusters in Truganina, Patterson Lakes/Lysterfield, Fawkner and Sunshine West.
