The Jolly Miller Cafe will open two new venues in Wyndham as part of its statewide expansion.
The cafe business has just opened its thirteenth location in Croydon, with another three locations – Manor Lakes, Tarneit and Melton – in the works.
Across the four new locations, approximately 80 new jobs will be created.
Manor Lakes will be the next cafe location to open in approximately two months time, with Tarneit set to open in four months, and Melton later in the year.
The brand is also looking to move into Geelong and the wider Surf Coast region over the next 12 months, with sights set on Waurn Ponds, Armstrong Creek, Ocean Grove and Torquay under a joint-venture model.
Jolly Miller Group co-founder Rimon Barber said The Jolly Miller’s goal was to become everyone’s favourite local cafe and patisserie.
“We are all about the local community and that is what has led to our success; we create an ambience and a place where people want to meet and connect with one another, we like to see ourselves as makers of memorable moments,” he said.
The Jolly Miller Croydon cafe was launched earlier this year, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
“Even though we opened our doors in the middle of a pandemic and with no dine-in option throughout April and May, we kept our doors open to serve the community and they supported us from the outset,” Mr Barber said.
“We believe the current climate will make our cafes stronger. As a suburban-based model, we’re finding more people are staying in their local areas and spending on items at cafes, after all – everyone still needs to eat and drink.”
