MyClinic’s five centres across the western suburbs ensure that help is never too far away.
The medical centres, based in Tarneit, Werribee Village, Werribee Central, Hoppers Crossing and Bacchus Marsh, are dedicated to providing residents with the best health services and have remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
MyClinic introduced safety measures to protect patients, doctors and staff and new ways of delivering care, such as telehealth consultations for GPs and allied health.
The medical centre provides bulk-billing GPs, women’s health services, allied health services including a physiologist and a skin clinic.
Operations manager Linda McColl says: “Our service extends to you whether you’re well or not.”
“Our staff love working for MyClinic, so they tend to stick around.
“You’ll enjoy seeing the same friendly faces every time you need to visit. Even if you’re not feeling the best, it’s nice to be cared for by people who know you.”
Government-funded and private flu vaccines are in stock and available to people of all ages in line with the government’s advice for patients to continue seeing their GP for routine healthcare checks and general health conditions. It’s free for children from six months to under five years old.
Linda says that staff at the centre make the health of the community their top priority and they encourage locals to do the same.
“Do not neglect your general/regular health needs,” she says. “All our doctors are still available for consultations via phone, video conference or face-to-face.
“To prevent the spread of COVID-19 the Australian government has introduced telehealth. Your doctor at MyClinic will consult with you in the usual manner via a bulk-billed telephone or video link.
“Dr Joe Garra has been monitoring updates from the Department of Health in regards to COVID-19 to ensure the safety of our staff and patients and Mrs Samantha Furniss will keep everyone updated via Facebook, so make sure you follow your local MyClinic to stay informed.”
Linda offers warm thanks to MyClinic health and reception staff for their commitment during the COVID-19 emergency.
“The whole team worked really hard keeping patients and each other safe, like they always do,” she says.
