Book in a donation

Spread the word: Hoppers Crossing woman Heather Brett is seeking donations of books.
Mrs Brett is collecting books ahead of a massive book sale to be held next month in aid of Werribee Mercy Hospital.
Mrs Brett said she started hosting book sales to help out the hospital after meeting the Werribee Hospital Foundation’s Community Engagement and Fundraising Manager, Lisa Field.
A book sale held last year raised around $2000 for the hospital.
Mrs Brett said that in the lead-up to the March book sale, she would appreciate any donations of books from Wyndham residents.
“We usually get lots of fiction and non-fiction, but we haven’t got many kids’ books yet, so we would welcome donations of those” Mrs Brett said.
Mrs Brett said anyone wanting to donate books could drop them off to her, or contact her to come and collect them.
She said that on the weekend of the book sale, local Lions Club members would assist with the event.
“What I enjoy is just meeting everybody, it’s really good,” she said.
Mrs Brett said she would give any books leftover from the sale to the Lifeline opportunity shop in Warrnambool.
The book sale will be held on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 from 8am-5pm, at 64 Evrah Drive, Hoppers Crossing.
All items $2, and all proceeds go to the Werribee Hospital Foundation.
For book donation locations contact Lisa Field on 0433 559 530 or Mrs Brett on 0438 280 648.
