Tarneit students proved that one person’s trash is another person’s masterpiece.
Year 8 and 9 students from Tarneit P-9 College earlier this month collected first prize for a sculpture they made entirely of recycled materials for National Recycling Week.
The sculpture, called Humanity Across the Aquatic, was part of a Wyndham council competition aimed to encourage young people to think about what to do with waste.
Tarneit P-9 College students used polystyrene, fabric, plastic bottles and cardboard to create their piece of artwork.
Sculptures by students from Baden Powell P-9 College- Tarneit Campus, Westbourne Grammar School, The Grange P-12 College as well as Tarneit P-9 College will be on display for all to enjoy at the Manor Lakes Library until this weekend .
