My Business: Hotel520 welcomes new head chef Peter Serrano

Hotel520 is serving up some delicious new changes with the appointment of new head chef Peter Serrano.

Peter is well known around the area as the previous owner/operator of Serrano’s Family restaurant at Werribee Plaza and has cooked in clubs and hotels for more than 35 years. He specialises in Italian, contemporary Australian cuisine, functions and desserts.

Peter has designed a fantastic new menu for Hotel520 which is being launched this month. As well as the pub classics it will include vegan and gluten-free options and weekly specials.

There is also a new senior’s menu which is available Monday-Friday for lunch and dinner; a Sunday lunch; and a new counter meal menu.

One of Peter’s new ideas is a ‘Parmas of the World’ night on Wednesdays – all parmas are only $15 with chips and salad and offerings include Italian, Mexican, Hawaiian, Aussie and the classic.

Hotel520 has many special events in the bistro including Mad Monday, a special day for seniors. The two-course seniors meal is only $14 with discounted drinks and free coffees, available for lunch and dinner.

Two-up Tuesdays–Members’ Day allows members to buy one meal and receive the second for free. It’s available for lunch and dinner, with a half-year membership available now for only $5.

On Sunday Family Day, kids eat free lunch and dinner. They’ll be entertained by some of their favourite characters such as Disney, princess, superhero and witches and warlocks during lunch from 1-2pm. It’s a great idea for all kids parties and family events, plus seniors meals are available for lunch as well – so bring the grandparents.

Hotel520 has also opened a cafe – Hotel520 Cafe – with a menu available from 10am until close to serve more food more often.

And on Saturday nights a ‘Piano Man’ in the bistro will be playing songs and taking requests from all decades. Book a table and sing along from 7-10pm.

To make your dining experience even easier, Hotel520’s POS system now enables you to split bills for large bookings – you can order and eat together, but pay separately at the end of the night.
