Police are urging shoppers to keep a close eye on personal items left in shopping trolleys following a sharp increase in thefts in the past few weeks.
Acting Sergeant Graeme Crouch of Wyndham North police said while most of the thefts from trolleys occurred at Werribee Plaza shopping centre, it could happen anywhere.
