‘Life-changing’ lottery win for Werribee mum

A single mother from Werribee has declared her $100,000 lottery win as “life-changing” for her family.
The woman won the guaranteed first prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10302, which was drawn last Tuesday (July 30).
The winner said that she planned to use her prize to go on a family holiday and put the rest towards school fees.
Speaking with a Tatts official this afternoon, the Werribee resident said that she was “over the moon” and “absolutely thrilled”.
“When I scanned my ticket today, I didn’t believe I’d won,” she said.
“I thought there must be an error – I am truly, truly grateful. I am speechless.
“I am a single mum and I have a big family and we’ve gone through some tough times so this really will help us so much.
“This will make a huge difference to our lives. You probably don’t realise how much – it’s life-changing.”
The mother said she would take her children out for dinner tonight, to tell them the news of her win.
“I don’t think they’ll believe me, I am sure they’ll be very shocked but very excited,” she said.
The Werribee mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of three random numbers online at thelott.com.
