Werribee Open Range Zoo concert captures arts of Africa

Brother and sister performers Abinet, Teame and Soliana Ersie are among the stars of Werribee Open Range Zoo’s Rhythm of Africa summer concert series being presented every weekend until February 28.

Highlights will include contemporary and traditional African music acts, Ethiopian coffee ceremonies and free drumming workshops, along with plenty of children’s activities, including face painting, hair braiding and games. While you’re there, you can also take a safari tour or have a splash at the new hippo beach.

Rhythm of Africa is held every Saturday from 4.30-8.30pm. Adults $30.80 and children under 16 free (includes zoo admission).
