Christmas at the Lakes

The 12th annual Christmas at the Lakes will be held on Saturday, December 1, from 2pm at Breezewater Reserve, 25 The Breezewater, Sanctuary Lakes. Enjoy Christmas carols, children’s rides, an animal farm, face-painting, food and craft stalls, a visit from Santa and a fireworks finale.

Lung support group

Western Breathers for Life welcomes anyone with breathing difficulties due to lung disease to come along for a cuppa, chat and support. The group meets at the Kelly Park Community Centre, Synnot Street, Werribee on the second Friday of every month from 10am-midday.

Safe plate day

Get anti-theft screws fitted to your number plate for free in the carpark of Hoppers Crossing Shopping Centre, 24 Old Geelong Road, on November 24 from 10am-2pm. Supported by Wyndham council, Victoria Police and the Hoppers Crossing Apex

Disability celebration

Wyndham council and Wyndham Disability Support Network will host a morning tea to celebrate International Day of People with Disability – and everyone is invited. On Monday, December 3, from 9.30-11am at the Wyndham City Civic Centre, 45 Princes Highway, Werribee. The event will include speakers, performances, art displays and morning tea. RSVP by November 28.

Morning tea

The Women’s Health Hub will host a fundraising morning tea on Friday, November 30, from 10am at 236 Hoppers Lane, Werribee, for women’s health charity Share the Dignity. Attendees are invited to donate handbags to the cause.

Christmas twilight market

Head down to the Manor Lakes Community Centre, 86 Manor Lakes Boulevard, Wyndham Vale, on Saturday, December 1, from 5-9pm for the annual Christmas twilight market. Enjoy food trucks, more than 40 stalls, a DJ and free face-painting. Santa will be making an appearance.

Celebrate Christmas with a free Christmas show at Equip Church, 147-155 Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing, on Saturday, December 1 from 6pm and Sunday, December 2, from 4pm.

Bowling with babies at The Hive

Mums and bubs are invited to head down to Werribee Bowls Club, Chirnside Park, 237 Watton Street, Werribee, on Fridays from 10.30am-1.30pm to socialise over a cuppa, let the babies play and have a game of bowls. $10 for bowlers.

Mini fete

Head down to Mercy Place Wyndham, 39 Deutgam Street, Werribee, on Saturday, November 24, from 10am-3pm and enjoy a mini fete featuring a barbecue and plant, craft and cake stalls.

Join the choir

Residents are invited to join the Bridge Community Choir as it starts to prepare carols for Christmas. The all-ages, all-abilities choir meets weekly at Werribee Baptist Church (opposite Pacific) on Mondays from 7.30-9pm.
