Reclink mixed sports night
Enjoy an entertaining evening in the company of AFL legends Simon Madden and Mark Eustice at the Hoppers Bowls Club on August 16 from 7.30pm. Tickets are $20, including finger food, with all proceeds raised going towards Reclink, which provides and promotes more than 10,000 sport, recreation and arts activities to disadvantaged communities throughout Australia each year. Heroes and Villains
The Werribee Concert Band will be paying homage to the music of heroes and villains in its annual major concert, which will be held on August 11 from 7pm at the Recital Centre, Werribee Secondary College. This event will showcase music that has a heroic or villainous theme, with pieces from Wicked, Superman, Dam Busters and more. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for concession holders and $10 for under 16s.
Wyndham Learning Festival
Try your hand at cooking classes, arts and crafts, a digital photography bus tour, Wayapa workshops, karate classes, hip hop for boys, a young scientist competition or Rhyme Time at the Zoo during the Wyndham Learning Festival, which will run between September 1-8. Now in its third year, the festival program features more than 100 events to be held across Wyndham, with each encouraging residents to learn something new.
Werribee Jazz Club winter finale
The Werribee Jazz Club’s winter program will conclude on Sunday, August 12, from 1.30-4.30pm at the Werribee Bowls Club, Chirnside Park, Watton Street, Werribee. Bring along some friends and listen to the Hot B Hines for a relaxing afternoon.

Pakistan Independence Day
