COMMUNITY CALENDAR

Swamp Spider Orchid, Caladenia paludosa, Wildflower Orchidaceae Westen Australia. This is an interesting spider orchid, as not only does it attract a wasp through sexual deception but it also produces small quantities of nectar on the surface of the labellum (which spider orchids are not supposed to do).

Volunteers needed

Mercy Palliative Care is looking for volunteers to provide support for clients and carers in their own homes. Volunteers can offer a wide range of services, such as being with someone while their carer goes out, providing companionship, taking someone for a drive or to an appointment, making bereavement phone calls and helping with memorial services. Full training and support is given.
