Applications are open for stallholders of handmade goods who are keen to be a part of the Werribee Craft Festival on November 7-8. Send a stamped self-addressed envelope, with photos of your products and set-up, to Werribee Craft Festival, PO Box 1295, Werribee Plaza, 3030, by September 1.

Try out netball

Hoppers Crossing Junior Netball Association will hold a free NetSetGo bring-a-friend day on August 1 at Mossfiel Reserve Courts, 10.30am-12.30pm. The day will include a NetSetGo session for five to 10 year-olds run by Australian Diamonds player Madi Robinson. Register now.

Run with the pack

Western Athletics is seeking past members to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the club. The club was established in 1995 when the Footscray, Sunshine and Werribee senior athletic clubs amalgamated. A dinner will be held on September 12 at the Werribee Italian Social Club.

DJs wanted

Wyndham community radio station 88.9 Wyn FM is looking for guest DJs. The Housework show on Tuesday nights, from 10pm to midnight, is looking for guest DJs to play two 30-minute slots. Style must be house/electronica.

Give blood

The Werribee blood donor centre is calling on Wyndham people to donate blood and plasma over winter to combat a seasonal blood donor shortage. The centre especially needs O negative and A negative blood donations. The Werribee blood donor centre, is located on 7 Bridge Street, Werribee, and is open every day except Saturday. Appointments are essential.

Kid-friendly movie session

Mums, dads, grandparents, uncles, aunties and carers of pre‐school kids can catch a special mums and bubs movie session at Wyndham Cultural Centre, 177 Watton Street, Werribee, on July 31 at 11am. Big Fish will be screening. Tickets are $10 and include morning tea.

Fix it, for free

If it needs to be screwed, glued, nailed or welded, bring it to Werribee Men’s Shed, open every second Saturday of the month. It’s free and there’s no need to book. If the item is too large to fit in a car, call James, Wyndham Park Community centre, 55‐57 Kookaburra Avenue, Werribee, between 10am‐noon.
