Plans for the final piece of a $7.2 million revamp of Mossfiel Reserve are now public.

Three rugby pitches with overlaying cricket ovals, three informal grass volleyball courts, new lighting, a new playground with seating, barbecues and shelters, footpaths, tree planting and landscaping are on the cards for the Hoppers Crossing reserve.

The existing cricket nets will be removed and upgraded to a chain mesh-enclosed facility, with three club nets and one public net.

Meanwhile, the informal carpark near the skate park will be turned into a 30-space carpark.

Once approved, works will begin following the completion of a state-of-the-art cricket and rugby pavilion, which is under construction as part of the overall redevelopment.

Wyndham council also awarded Melbcon the $2.01 million contract to demolish the netball pavilion and build a second pavilion, to be completed in April 2019.

The state government has put $1.8 million towards the project as part of its $50 million Growing Suburbs Fund. Wyndham council is footing the rest of the bill.
