Rose pruning demonstration
Would you like to learn how to prune your roses? Come and join the Victorian State Rose Garden volunteers at the rose garden in Werribee Park, K Road, Werribee, on June 16 from 11am-1pm. Volunteers will show you how to prune your roses as required in a display garden.

Senior driver safety
RoadSafe Westgate Community Road Safety Council will host a free Senior Drivers Expo at Central Park Community Centre, 80 Lonsdale Circuit, Hoppers Crossing from 9.45am on Saturday, June 16. Participants get a free, confidential driving assessment in their own car and a check of their car’s roadworthiness. Road laws, health and effects on medicines will also be covered. Lunch is provided. Places are limited, booking essential.

Do you have knee pain?
If you are aged over 50 and have had knee pain on most days of the past month, you may be eligible to take part in a new research study conducted by the department of physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. The study compares the effects of different types of footwear on knee pain symptoms. Participants will be asked to wear study shoes daily for six months. If eligible, you will receive two pairs of shoes for free.

Werribee Probus Club
Are you a retired or semi-retired man who has some time on your hands? The Werribee Probus Club offers activities to help happily fill those post-retirement days. Activities include day trips and tours, social activities and lawn bowls tournaments. Next meeting is at the Werribee Bowls on June 25 and then every fourth Monday of the month.
