Susan Alberti: the footy lady shares her story

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when business woman, philanthropist and AFLW pioneer Susan Alberti shared her life story at last week’s Women in Business lunch.

Talking to more than 100 Wyndham businesswomen at Encore Events Centre, Ms Alberti talked about becoming a registered female builder in a male-dominated industry, her determination to find a cure for type one diabetes after her daughter, a type one diabetes sufferer, died in her arms on a flight home from New York, and her beloved Western Bulldogs.

Wyndham businesswoman Suji Sanjeevan also spoke about how she went from a career in medicine in London to running award-winning fragrance house Light & Glo.

“Business pushes you to be the best version of yourself,” Ms Sanjeevan said.
