In Focus: Designed with the child in mind

Wyndham Early Learning Family Day Care is highly regarded by the families that use its service, one client even calling it “the best day care in the west”.

This fantastic accolade is one of many and director Fiona Jardine puts it down to choosing the best educators and finding educators whose values align with her own.

Fiona is an organised and loving mum and now a business person building success upon success to run a family day care service with more than 35 accredited early-leaning educators.

Wyndham Early Learning Family Day Care is smaller in size compared to other similar family care-style services and this is no accident.

“I cap the amount of educators and homes I invite to be a part of my business so the quality stays high,” Fiona says.

“We offer care for up to 13 years of age too, so families with larger families can keep all the children together, which is great for working mums and dads.

“Educators provide education and care within their homes and can care for up to four pre-school children and three school-aged children.”

The service is approved for child care benefit and rebate through Centrelink.

Educator Debbie Macleod has recently been awarded the National Educator of the Year 2017 Family Day Care Australia Educator Awards.

Lorraine says she has only been with Wyndham Early Learning Family Day Care for eight months.

“I made the call to Fiona and true to her word she was on my doorstep within 20 minutes,” Lorraine said.

“Both Fiona and Kayla [Fiona’s coordinator] made the new transition to their wonderful service effortless, which is what we as early childhood educators look for.”

Lilianne Addamo has been using Wyndham Early Learning for almost two years now.

“When I decided to go back to work full-time, I knew I needed to do some deep investigation and research to feel confident and at ease with my decision,” Ms Addamo said.

“Within two days [Fiona’s] team found a great match for us – Vandana. She’s just lovely and the kids love her.”

Wyndham Early Learning Family Day Care offers small nurturing group settings for your child to thrive in, including long day care, casual care, before and after school care and school holiday care.

“Any family that enrols with us each month enter into a draw to win a $50 Coles/Myer voucher,” Fiona adds.

“So give us a call and see if we are a good fit for your family. We hope to speak with you soon.”
