Tops in Tarneit: 148 Thames Boulevard, Tarneit, 3029

Families looking for a place that’s buffed to a turn in every aspect, is in a spot with schools and Pacific Werribee within easy reach and that has a pretty backyard requiring no lawnmower, should check this one out.

The interior decor is striking, stepping away from the whites and pearl-greys so common nowadays. Wall paint is a rich palette of lovely mid-greys with white trims, further enhanced by white plantation shutters and a mix of oaken-grey and honey-toned laminated floorboards all through. Practical, allergy-free flooring, spacious rooms and finely tuned outdoor areas deliver a winning combination.

Entry is to a walkway, to the right of which is an open lounge room. To the left is the main bedroom, with plantation shutters on a bay window, a walk-in robe and
en suite with heat lamp.

Decorated in strong paint shades, three more fitted bedrooms with timber blinds share a hallway with the laundry, separate toilet and main bathroom. One bedroom has a cheery yellow accent wall, a colour seen in small pops elsewhere. The spacious skylit living hub, in two zones, incorporates the kitchen, which has white cupboards topped with blue-grey laminate, a cupboard pantry, brekkie bench under yellow pendants and stainless-steel appliances.

A large gabled pergola, with coloured-concrete underfoot, juts into the side yard then extends along the side of the house towards the backyard. It’s edged with nandinas and ornamental shrubs, has a bold red accent wall and provides an attractive entertainment/relaxation space.

The backyard, plus the opposite side yard, is concreted and edged with lovely gardens planted with roses, magnolia, hibiscus and other pretty plantings. Everything is utterly neat and just needs watering to keep things thriving. There’s a big garden shed to stow stuff away and a 5000-litre water tank.

Ducted heating and cooling, front security shutters and a drive-through double garage are other drawcards. The block is about
635 square metres.
