Not-for-profit Newport organisations are being invited to apply for a Viva Energy Role Model Grant of up to $5000 to help with community programs in the area of mental illness, substance misuse or breaking the poverty cycle through education. Feedback wanted

Hobsons Bay council has released its Digman Reserve Draft Master Plan for public feedback. Proposed improvements include upgraded sports field surfaces to allow for sporting use in summer and winter, a renewed play space area, new pavilion and additional carparking. People have until November 29 to have their say at participate.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/digman

Western Health’s new CEO

The Board of Western Health has appointed Russell Harrison as chief executive. Mr Harrison has spent the past five years in the role of executive director of operations at Western Health. Mr Harrison replaces associate professor Alex Cockram, who stood down from the position in August after five years.
