IN FOCUS: Jayco and the joys of the journey

Two years after John and Joan Spence established their caravan repair business in 1988, they received accreditation as a Jayco dealer.

Marketing manager Jess Gregson says it was an exciting day back then for the family business – they’d noticed from the beginning the great products Jayco offers and were keen to be partners with such an accomplished outfit.

“Our business, Prestige Jayco,” Jess explains, “has grown to now include John and Joan’s children and grandchildren, who have the family drive for excellence and enthusiasm for giving our customers top-notch products and service.

“The family’s values guide our business decisions, which are focused on growth and constant evolution. We maintain our core values of keeping the family feel of our business uppermost, keeping our wonderful team happy and involved, and engaging with all our customers as they make plans to get out and see Australia in their dream van.”

Their Prestige Jayco sales yard in Newcomb displays a big range of new campers, caravans, pop-tops, expandas and motorhomes. There’s also a good selection of used vans and motorhomes, along with a parts and accessories centre, a service workshop and a canvas manufacturing centre.

“It’s a joy,” continues Jess, “to be part of fulfulling people’s travel dreams. It’s a leisure business we’re in; people come in because they want to – they’re happy and excited and this makes us feel fantastic.”

Prestige Jayco has a strong interest in adding value to the Geelong region.

“We have strong links with our community, sponsoring fundraising organisations and those that help disadvantaged people,” Jess says. “We also have a focus on promoting tourism, partnering with Tourism Greater Geelong. We’re committed to making a difference in the lives of people in our community by supporting health initiatives, young men and women in sportand active adult lifestyles.”

Prestige Jayco proudly supports:
