Fancy a laugh? Wyndham Theatre Company and Werribee Secondary College are joining forces to put on a delightful new comedy production of Almost Maine.
Set in the middle of winter, the show follows the story of two residents in the mythical town of Almost, Maine. In unexpected and hilarious ways, the residents find themselves falling in and out of love with each other.
Director Alaine Beek said Almost Maine is one of the most hilarious plays she has ever seen and was very delighted to hear that they were going to be performing it.
“This play is so much fun to direct, the students have a great time playing the roles and are really looking forward to performing the play to an audience,” she said.
Students from Werribee Secondary’s drama classes auditioned to be a part of the play and 10 were chosen.
Almost Maine will be performed at the Joy Bevan Theatre on October 13 and 14. There will be a 7.30pm show and a 2.30pm matinee show on Saturday, October 14.
