Green thumbs up

Students and staff from Truganina South Primary School showed off their green thumbs when they took part in National Tree Day last month. The children helped to plant trees along the Federation Trail, which is located near their school. The event was sponsored by Werribee Toyota. This year marked more than two decades since Planet Ark first established National Tree Day in 1996. Since then, more than 22 million trees have been planted by almost 4 million volunteers at thousands of schools and community sites across Australia.
