IN FOCUS: A Kubota community connection

Community, business, family and Kubota make for a winning combination at Godings in Rockbank.

It’s not just farmers who love the Kubota range – concreters, construction professionals and plumbers all seek out the Kubotas offered at Godings in Rockbank.

Having successfully built a solid client base in the Rockbank area, Godings owner-operators Adrian and Amanda Williams, who live in Werribee, are keen to promote their services in the Wyndham region.

Adrian worked for the popular agricultural and construction dealership for a decade before he and his wife Amanda purchased the dealership two years ago.

Amanda says they consider Rockbank and Werribee to be part of the same broader community, one in which they love living and working.

“The community spirit and sense of family is really what drives us, like so many of our neighbours and fellow business-owners.

“It’s always great seeing Werribee locals come into our Rockbank store, as we sell a lot of construction equipment, selling to small businesses such as plumbers, concreters and the like.”

The husband-and-wife duo are big on customer service, even more so now Amanda has come on board after working at Werribee Mercy Hospital for 15 years.

“There is a lot of reward in looking after our customers,” Amanda says.

“We like our customers to have a great all-round experience when dealing with Godings and, more generally, when dealing with the two of us and our staff.

“We really love helping out locals whenever we can, and supporting other business … it’s a great feeling and makes coming to work really rewarding.”

Amanda says business, family and community all come together when you run a family business.

“We like to think we are a big part of the Werribee community,” she says.

“Sports are important to our town, so we use our business to support that.

“Our kids play local sport and we are involved in and sponsor local football clubs to help give other kids the opportunity to enjoy their sport also.“

Adrian and Amanda both grew up in the Werribee area, went to school locally and even fell in love – all in the same postcode.

“We are locals through-and-through,” she says with a happy smile.

Godings sells the Kubota range of tractors, earth-moving equipment and excavators, new Kubota spare parts and offers full after-sales service.
