Truganina South Primary School pupils are stepping out to improve their health and safety on the roads. During the school’s Active Paths launch day, pupils walked and rode to school on footpaths with special stickers placed on them. The stickers urged the youngsters to, “Stop, look, listen, think” before crossing the road, or that they were a “Hop, skip and jump away” from the school. Some of the stickers, provided by the Bicycle Network’s Ride2School program, also showed the distances between the school and particular streets. The Active Paths event also included a breakfast, dancing and a photo booth for students and their families to enjoy.
