Hair one minute, gone the next – Tarneit’s Steph Borg is sporting a buzz cut after chopping off her shoulder-length locks on Friday in celebration of National Bandanna Day, which raises money for youth cancer charity CanTeen.
Ms Borg, 25, braved the big shave in an afternoon event at the Tarneit Early Learning Centre, where she works as an educator in the junior nursery room.
The follicle feat helped raise nearly $1400 – almost triple the centre’s original fundraising target of $500.
The centre also sold bandannas and hosted an afternoon tea as part of the celebrations.
