Police hunt for pair following Werribee stabbing

Police are on the hunt for a man and a woman in relation to Wednesday’s stabbing attack in Werribee.
Apprehension warrants for attempted murder have been issued for Corey Whittle, 39, and Samantha Vella, 34, who are both known to frequent the Werribee and Hoppers Crossing areas.
Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to locate the pair after a 45-year-old man was assaulted and stabbed several times in a Kookaburra Avenue driveway about 11.30am on Wednesday.
The man remains in a critical condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Investigators have released images of the two in the hope that someone may have information on their current whereabouts.
