More than 100 garage sales will be held across Wyndham next week as part of a statewide garage sale trail.
Among the many treasure troves booked in locally is the Monster Car Boot Sale at Wyndham Park community shed.
Community development manager James Dredge said shed members have been involved in the sale trail since its inception, hiring out carparks to people wanting to sell items out of their car boots.
“It’s a great event to get the community into the precinct, and sell anything they like,” Mr Dredge said.
He said the shed would be selling handmade recycled metal garden sculptures, bits of machinery and other knick-knacks – all from their car boots.
There are 60 carparks available for hire for the day, but they are going quickly. Among place takers are people selling secondhand goods, homemade conserves, fresh vegetables, sausage sizzles, and more.
The Monster Car Boot Sale will be held on October 22 at the Wyndham Park Community Shed carpark on Kookaburra Avenue at Werribee.
Last year, Wyndham had the biggest garage sale trail in the state.
Statewide, more than 420,000 items were listed and more than 61,000 people were involved in a garage sale.
