Hit the trail at Werribee Park for Nature Play Week

Wyndham families are being invited to join the fun at Werribee Park’s ‘welcome day’ next week.

The event is part of Nature Play Week, aimed at encouraging children and families to get out and about.

Activities will include the opening of the first of three adventure trails in the park, a treasure hunt and a story time.

For the adventure trail opening, rangers will guide children through the park to discover the history behind the trees planted by the Chirnside family more than 100 years ago in the park’s formal gardens.

Parks Victoria’s Kathryn Campbell says the adventure trails have been developed to encourage families to explore all aspects of Werribee Park.

The ‘welcome day’ is Wednesday, April 15, 10am-1pm, at Werribee Park, K Road, Werribee South.
