Lottery delivers two new Wyndham millionaires

If you have dreams of winning a big lottery, tickets purchased in Wyndham are the way to go.

Two Wyndham outlets sold winning division one tickets in last week’s $21 million Superdraw, paying out $1.9 million each.

Hoppers Crossing’s “lucky” outlet, Target Lotto, delivered its sixth division one winning ticket in just two years.

The winner, a man in his 30s from Sunshine West, made the trip to the Hoppers Crossing store after seeing media reports of the store’s lucky status.

“I went to Hoppers Crossing because I saw a news story that said they’d sold quite a few division one tickets,” he said.

“It’s a bit of a hike from my place, but I thought, ‘Oh well, I’ll give them a try.”

He described the win as “unbelievable” and “crazy”.

He plans to travel with his recently acquired cash and spoil his parents.

Carlo Addamo, the owner of the store, said the shop had recently relocated following the shopping centre’s redevelopment and superstitious customers were fearful the new shopfront wouldn’t be as lucky.

“It only took 10 days to prove that our luck is here to stay,” he said.

Williams Landing News, Lotto and Tobacco sold its first division one ticket to a local chef.

“I’m so excited – I just feel so happy and over-the-moon,” the winner said. “I scanned my ticket at an outlet and had to check it twice.”

He also plans to go travelling with his winnings.

The winning Wyndham tickets were among 11 in Australia that reaped $1.9 million each.
