Penrose Community Centre will be transformed into a cold climate wonderland on June 5 for Wyndham council’s winter ball.
The ball is a chance for young people aged between 12-17 to frock up and put on their dancing shoes for a fun-filled night to remember.
Youth portfolio holder councillor Marie Brittan said the formal event would provide young Wyndham residents with a different experience to the usual big night out.
“No doubt our young residents are familiar with getting dressed up for a night out, dancing and socialising with their friends, however a ball is a little more old-school,” Cr Brittan said.
“The experience will be more formal, however still thoroughly enjoyable.
“Bring a date, come as a group or mingle with new friends – it doesn’t matter,” she said.
“This is a formal event, so be sure to go all out and wear your nicest dresses and suits.
“You might even win yourself a prize for best-dressed on the night,” Cr Brittan said.
The ball is at 83 Penrose Promenade, Tarneit from 6-9pm. Entry costs $2 and food and drinks are provided.
