Two years in the offing, Werribee’s Rotary-managed op shop has finally opened its doors.

Named Fit4Use, the store sells clothing, plants, homewares, furniture, manchester and more, and will be staffed by Rotarians from Werribee, Wyndham, Hoppers Crossing, Laverton Point Cook, and host club Flemington.

Store manager Lorry Rowe, of Werribee Rotary, said the store had been in the pipeline for years.

“All the funds raised will go directly back into the community for projects,” she said.

Hoppers Crossing Rotary’s Colin Styles said the role of the store was the same as other op shops.

“We work with the local organisations like the Salvation Army and Werribee Support and Housing,” he said.

The store is at 135 Railway Avenue and open from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am until 2pm on Saturdays.
