Mums and bubs movie sessions

Mums, dads, grandparents, uncles, aunties and carers of pre-school kids can catch a special mums and bubs movie session at Wyndham Cultural Centre, 177 Watton Street, Werribee, on May 29 at 11am. My Year Without Sex will be screening. Tickets are $10 and include morning tea.

Dancing man

Travel back through time to an era when dance and music had style, grace and charisma with Luke Alleva’s one-man show, The Dancing Man, at Wyndham Cultural Centre, Watton Street, Werribee, on May 30 at 8pm. The show celebrates the iconic legends of stage and screen, including Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Junior. Tickets are $35.

Trivia night

Put your trivia skills to the test at Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club’s trivia night on May 29 at 7pm. Held at the clubrooms at 260 Hogans Road, Hoppers Crossing, the night will raise money for the Heartbeat at my Feet Foundation. Tickets are $10 per person.

Art exhibition

The Wyndham Art Prize exhibition is open at Wyndham Cultural Centre, 177 Watton Street, Werribee, from May 24-28. The exhibition showcases local, national and international artists and will be judged by McClelland Galleries’ senior curator Penny Teale.

Senior drivers expo

The RoadSafe Westgate Community Road Safety Council will host a senior drivers expo on June 13 from 9.45am at Hobsons Bay council civic offices, 115 Civic Parade, Altona. Participants get a free and confidential driving assessment in their own car and an assessment of their car’s roadworthiness. There will also be information about road laws, health, and the effects of medicines. A free lunch is provided. Places are limited, bookings essential.

Fix it, for free

If it needs to be screwed, glued, nailed or welded, bring it to Werribee Men’s Shed, open every second Saturday of the month. It’s free and there’s no need to book. If the item is too large to fit in a car, call James, Wyndham Park Community centre, 55-57 Kookaburra Avenue, Werribee, between 10am-noon.
