A weekend festival, called Winter will transform Werribee’s CBD on July 1 and 2 and will feature street performers Born in a Taxi, acrobatic group Strange Fruit, family movies and evening arts experiences.

Ready to relax

Learn different stress release techniques with gentle hatha yoga, mindful meditation and progressive body relaxation classes. Classes run Tuesdays between 7.30-8.30pm during school terms at Crossroads Uniting Church, corner Duncans Road and Synnot Street, Werribee. Cost $15. Soroptimist International is a global volunteer women’s service club that works to support women and children. The group meets on the second Monday of each month at the Jamieson Way Community Centre in Point Cook. New members are welcome.

For a touch of culture

An exhibition at the Wyndham Art Gallery, 177 Watton Street, features paintings, prints, ceramics and photographs that map the artists’ views of Wyndham. The works are by mother-and-son team Sue Anderson and Aubrey Comben and will be on display until June 26.

The RoadSafe Westgate Community Road Safety Council will provide information about road laws, health and the effects of medicines.
