This pocket rocket is gearing up for world domination.
Truganina’s Cameron Gatt, 7, will take on the best junior BMX riders in the world next month when he travels to Columbia for the BMX world championships.
It’s the second time Cameron will brave the world stage, after placing third in Belgium last year.
Mum Michelle said the competition would be a whole new ball game this time around.

“Last year he had no expectations, it was purely go out there and do your best,” she said. “This year, he is dealing with not only the expectations he is putting on himself, but expectations put on him by the BMX community.
“He has no fear, and that really helps him push with his training. He handles [pressure] really well. I’m a bucket of nerves watching him from the sidelines.”
Cameron has just returned from Bathurst after a bittersweet performance at the BMX Australia national championships, where he came first in all heats only to be cut off by the reigning world number one during the finals, resulting in him placing third.
“I had to hit the brakes,” Cameron said.
Cameron is keen to be the world’s number one ranked rider for his age, and would love to make the Olympics.
