Car impounded

A 28-year-old man has had his car impounded after he was detected driving at 151km/h on the Western Freeway near Bacchus Marsh last week. The man was also detected to have a blood alcohol reading of 0.117. He was was charged on September 27 with speeding, drink driving, and unlicensed driving and will face court at a later date. His car was impounded at a cost to him of $1445.

Bulldozer burglary

A bulldozer was used during a burglary at a Taylors Hill supermarket on September 22. It is believed offenders drove a bulldozer through the doors of a supermarket on Gourlay Road about 4.50am. They gained entry to the business however fled the scene empty-handed in a white utility. The bulldozer, believed to be stolen from a Taylors Road address, was located nearby on Kirribilli Boulevard.
