WYNDHAMVALE has suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss to Deer Park in the Victorian Women’s Football League north-west division 2 preliminary final at Highgate Reserve.
The Falcons seemingly had control of the game at three quarter time, leading by 12 points on the back of 10 scoring shots to three and with Anna Harrington playing a starring role.
But Deer Park came back strongly in the last quarter to overrun the gallant Falcons and move into the grand final, where Pascoe Vale awaits.
